I believe that it started with a group who used to meet on Thursday nights at a garage on Janine Drive, and switched to the park in the summer months. I'm not sure how long the garage jams have been going on, however Don was playing there as long ago as 1994. God Bless Bill Himbre, Bill Boyd, Bill Thomas (R.I.P), Don Crecelis (R.I.P) and all the guys that played in the garage on Indian Trail every Thursday night. |
| Thursdays open bluegrass jam at McNeely Lake Gazebo during the warm months, starts about 5pm. Take Smyrna Road south of Gene Snyder to stop sign. Turn left & follow signs to park entrance, approximately 1 mile on right. Follow road into park to gazebo at top of hill (right). Take road behind Korean War Memorial right to parking lot. All levels welcome. Alcohol prohibited in park. |
